Waikato Diocesan School
Waikato Diocesan School for Girls in River Road, Hamilton has recently added a new Boarding House Accommodation Building to its facilities.
Armed with the knowledge that being absent from home can be a traumatic experience for some, the exterior façade of this building is cleverly designed to project a certain homeliness, while the interior areas are painted bright, cheerful hues with the single minded purpose to lift and dispel disheartened spirits.
Paperfaced plasterboard ceilings and walls with triboard partitions were coated in a selection of bright colours using Resene Zylone Sheen low sheen acrylic and Resene Lumbersider satin acrylic. Harder wearing areas, such as the interior walls of the individual cubicles, were finished in Resene Zylone SpaceCote for a low sheen, highly durable and easily cleaned finish.
