Whether you want to match some old paint, a favourite piece of fabric, an ornament or a colour you have created yourself, we can create a colour match for you using quality Resene paints and our exclusive Resene no added VOC tinters.

Most colour matches can be created free of charge for you.
To get the closest match possible please bring a painted sample or a physical sample with you. The larger the sample the better the colour can be matched. We recommend a minimum sample size of 50mm square.
We can match to smaller samples if required – at the very least your sample should be the size of a 50c coin or larger.
Photographs and electronic images do not show colour accurately, so it's always best to use a physical sample for the colour match.
Please allow time for your special colour to be matched. A rushed special colour match will not give the best result. Colour matching may take longer or overnight in busy periods or when matching difficult colours or samples.
If the colour cannot be matched in store, our team can arrange for our specialist Colour Lab to create a custom colour match for you.
You can name your special colour your chosen name – just make sure that the name is appropriate for general use and doesn't infringe anyone's trademarks.
We will record the formula for your matched colour onto our e-tint formula system so that you can come back and get more paint tinted in the future. All Resene ColorShops can access these formulations so you can visit the same Resene ColorShop or a different one if you wish to get the same paint colour in the future.
