Bank of Queensland
The exterior repaint of the Bank of Queensland in Little Edward Street, Brisbane was thought to be a difficult exterior repainting project with the expectation that extensive surface preparation and two pack topcoats would be required.
The specification of Resene Smooth Surface Sealer, an adhesion promoting sealer resolved the recoating issue, providing durable adhesion between the previous 2 pack epoxy finish and the special colour matched Resene Hi-Glo Acrylic Gloss topcoats. The move from a complicated regime of surface preparation and specialist topcoats to moderate surface preparation and a paint system of Resene premium products reduced the downtime between coats and the corresponding costs of scaffolding.
