How to make a DIY china stack sculpture:

China stack sculpture - Step 1 Step 1
For this project you need a variety of items that can be artfully stacked on top of each other. Fleur found her items from a second-hand shop and they are a range of glass, pottery and ceramic.

China stack sculpture - Step 2 Step 2
Start by giving your items a wash to make sure that they are free from grease and grime. Sand each one of them with a coarse grit sandpaper. This can be tricky on hard surfaces such as glass, so just do your best. Wipe any dust away and then use industrial strength adhesive to glue the items into a stack/tower. Once the glue has dried, paint over the stack with Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer. If you have used wooden items, you can use Resene Quick Dry to prime them.

China stack sculpture - Step 3 Step 3
Finish by applying two coats of Resene Salted Caramel, allowing the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.

Top tip:  Use Resene FX Paint Effects mixed with your chosen Resene colour to create a limewashed effect. Simply roughly brush on using a criss cross technique.
