HEX values

Hexadecimal (hex) values are used to define HTML colours and are essentially a translation of the RGB (red green blue) values. The lowest value is hex 00 (equates to 0 on the RGB value scale) and the highest value is FF (equates to 255 on the RGB value scale). Each Hex value is made up of 6 digits (three sets of double digits/letters) with a # in front.
