New leaf

Donna has found a superb colour, Resene Green Leaf, to freshen her kitchen. She says “the colour is sooo calming and many people have commented on its freshness. Before, it was a blue and a beige with bright orange cupboards but it was time to chill and feel nice and natural.”

Getting the three layers of wallpaper off the walls before painting could start was somewhat of a test of patience, but was well worth the effort when the colour started to be applied.

The cupboards and doors are painted Resene Quarter Spanish White with the ceilings in white, which works well with the new glossy black bench top, which was a great buy as an offcut, as was the new sink! A few extra helping hands in the form of Donna’s parents and the addition of fresh white tiles and everything looked like it was always meant to be there! Donna says “it was so nice to do a job that looks like a lot was spent on it... well... for not a lot!”
