Background to creation of all murals:
Designed to make the lunch area look better, the murals also focused on encouraging people to make better choices.

As part of their unit on 'Being a peacemaker', they used a book called 'Peacemaker' by Corlette Sands.  She had such superb pictures in the book that they wrote to her and asked her if they could use them to make murals for their lunch area as the old ones were looking shabby.  She gave her permission so the Year  and 8 students in room 5 adapted them to make great murals for the lunch area reinforcing what they have learnt in their study.

The class divided themselves into five groups with each group looking after one panel.  Students worked very hard using art time, lunchtime and even after school to get them completed in time.

This mural is themed around bullying and aims to influence people to stop bullying.  It is also designed to make the school lunch area brighter and more beautiful.
