  • Resene testpots

Foosball fun

Instructions:

Draw a line lengthwise along both sides of a shoe box, 5cm down from the top. Measure and draw 6 x 8mm circles along the line, 4.5cm from each end and 4.5cm apart. Repeat on the opposite side. Drill through each circle to create 6 identical holes on each side of the box. With a craft knife, cut out a rectangle at either short end of the box. 5.5cm down from the top and 5.5cm in from either side. Seal the entire box with two coats of Resene Quick Dry primer undercoat. When dry paint the entire box with two coats of Resene paint – Resene Sunrise for the outside and Resene Saltpan for the inside. Cut 3 pieces of 8mm x 90cm dowelling in half to create 6 pieces, 45cm in length. Paint three pieces and 5 pegs in Resene Jordy Blue and repeat with Resene Groovy. Mask out stripes on the outside of the box with 35mm washi masking tape 35mm apart. Paint the stripes and small ball with Resene Cabaret. When dry, thread the dowelling through the holes and attach the pegs in place.

What you'll need:

  • Resene testpots
  • Balsa wood
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Craft knife
  • Paintbrush
  • Card

Memory marathon

Instructions:

Divide 10cm wide balsa wood into 5x5cm squares with a pencil and ruler. With a craft knife carefully cut out each square. Repeat this process until you have roughly 40 squares. Create a stencil by cutting out a small circle into a 5x5cm square piece of cardboard. Stencil a circle with Resene Saltpan onto one side of each piece of balsa wood and leave to dry. Separate your pieces into pairs and draw an identical symbol onto each pair. Paint the symbols with Resene paint. I’ve used Resene Groovy, Resene Cabaret, Resene Jordy Blue, Resene Sunrise and Resene Mariner.
