Wondering what to do with those odd bod leftover paints and testpots? You could recycle them using the Resene PaintWise recycling service or get pouring and create your own paint spill art.
How to create your own paint spill art:
Lay the plastic floor covering on the ground and make sure it is smoothed out. We recommend placing a small barrier all the way around in case the paint travels further than expected. Make sure it is in a location that it can be left to dry for an extended period.
Place the square or large object in the middle of the plastic floor covering.
Pour the first colour slowly onto the middle of the square or large object. Leave for a short while then pour the next colour. Repeat this step until you are happy with the finished look.
Leave to dry. Due to the sheer amount of paint it will take some time for the spill art to dry.
Move to your desired location for display.
Recycle any unwanted paint and cans/pails using the Resene PaintWise recycling service. Resene plastic testpots can be recycled in most kerbside collections once the paint is cleaned out.
This paint spill artwork was created by the Palmerston North Resene ColorShop team.
