Weekend DIY with Mark Rayner - Project 70

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need:

Bucket with clean water
Concrete pad or patio
Garden hose with clean running water
Large paintbrush
Mineral turps
Paint stirrer

Resene Moss & Mould Killer
Resene paint pot
Resene Sureseal
Resene Walk-on flooring and paving paint tinted to Resene Fahrenheit
Rubber gloves
Stiff bristled brush

To get the look: Mark painted the background shed door with Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Catalyst.

Other ideas: For a soft green look paint the concrete with Resene Walk-on flooring and paving paint tinted to Resene Coriander.

Step one
Mix one part Resene Moss & Mould Killer to five parts clean water.

Step two
Brush onto the concrete and leave for 24 hours.

Step three
Rinse the concrete thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry.

Step four
Carefully stir the Resene Sureseal.

Step five
Apply one coat of Resene Sureseal to the concrete and allow to dry.

Step six
Clean brush in mineral turps.

Step seven
Carefully stir the Resene Walk-on flooring and paving paint tinted to Resene Fahrenheit.

Step eight
Apply two coats of Resene Walk-on flooring and paving paint tinted to Resene Fahrenheit to the concrete allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
