Tent wall

Here’s more pics submitted from Bruce of a job he did last week. This is a huge building made from PVC as you’d find on an Expo Marquee.

This 75m x 20m structure was custom built in China for this company and has a wall height of 6.5m H. Each one of those sections is 5m wide. The structure can be disassembled and moved to other sites anywhere in the world. 5 Containers for the PVC walls and roof PLUS 12 trucks for all the rest.

Bruce is shown here at the start and painting the PVC with Resene Lumbersider. He had set out the lettering using a scaled plan 1:100 and as you can see, he’s used an easy font for ease of upscaling and not having to worry too much about curves.

Ah yes, the old “we want the lettering higher” trick. After showing the client the scaled mock-up and they were happy, Bruce started with that “C” and then they changed their mind. Ah well, okay then. The paint came off easily with Lacquer Thinners and the paint did not stain the PVC. Phew.

Finished project

Going smoothly, and yes all done. The main heading letter was 1500mm H and each letter around 3.5m W. The sub text below was 980mm H. Nice job Bruce.
