Elevated with colour

Jo wanted her new home to reflect her and represent the new beginning she was about to embark on. After meeting with Jo, designer Zane Tate managed to narrow the brief down to an elevated French country look, Jo loved the lightness and femininity of French country but wanted to make sure her home was still modern, with a touch of glamour and luxury.

Zane was able to create this look by using various Resene paint colours and wallpapers throughout the home.

In the kitchen, dining and living areas we wanted to give the walls some depth so rather than using a standard white they chose Resene Quarter Foggy Grey, which is a beautiful grey tone, which has warmth and a light feel and really elevates the look giving a modern feel to a classic design. They also included a Resene wallpaper in the dining area with a two tone grey stripe with one stripe having a soft texture with a glitter effect to add a sense of glamour and occasion to the space.

To give the bedrooms their own personality they used Resene Double Wan White on the walls with feature walls of Resene Periglacial Blue and Resene Smokey Green. Both are chalky pastel tones, which created wonderfully soft and relaxing guest bedrooms. The master bedroom is painted in Resene Blanched Pink to give Jo her beautiful feminine retreat.

The ceilings, covings and skirtings are Resene Alabaster throughout to ensure that the wall colours really popped.

Resene Wan White is continued throughout the home to keep the hall, bathrooms and garage feeling light and open. The entrance way features another Resene wallpaper, this time with a light grey background and a white tree pattern, again adding an elegance to the area by using a classic pattern with a modern twist.
