Helping hand

The Freeman family bought this crib with the intention of spending many a happy weekend and holiday, along with their son and three pets. It needed an exterior repaint, but they weren’t sure which colours to choose.

Repaint outside of bach

Brett used the Resene Ask a Colour Expert service online. After numerous emails back and forwards with a whole lot of great colour advice and suggestions, they decided on a traditional look in a modern context. They trialled they colour options using Resene testpots and at one stage had approximately 15 different colour combinations on one of the side walls of the house!

The Resene Colour Expert was superb in providing insight into hues of colour and how contrasting colours can complement each other. Brett cannot thank her enough for all her patience and assistance.

Exterior of crib repaint

The weatherboards are painted in Resene Quarter Masala with Resene Quarter Black White trims. The sub deck is stained in Resene Woodsman Shadow Match.

With the colours just right on the exterior, they can now spend their weekends and holidays enjoying their crib, just as they had always dreamed of.
