From habitat plus - special paint effects
Two tone ideas and rolling effects
This simple two-tone wall is created by using a paint roller for a casual take on the traditional dado effect. No need for masking tape, just freehand your way across the wall. It was created by James Dunlop Textiles using Resene Merino at the top, with Resene Madison below.
If there's one super-simple way to make a room look distinctive and indulge a love of two colours, it's to paint one half of the wall one colour, and the other another. The colour split can go across the wall or up it, and can be close to the floor or to the ceiling. A tried and true proportion to use is one third to two thirds. Go one step further by adding a whimsical stencil.
