b'a warm and inviting space for art loversDesigner Kat Everett suggests an alternative scheme:I thought it would be fun to reimagine this house with some warmer colours. I removed the window in the back wall and placed a large artwork there in order to create a focal point when walking into the house. The Resene Merlot feature wall is perfect for displaying artwork and showcasing the copper-colouredvelvetcouch.ReseneMerlothasasoftnesstoitwhichdoesnt overwhelm the room and is a good backdrop for other colours and textures. To help keep the room light, I have painted the other walls in Resene Half Sea Fog with the skirting boards, ceiling and trims in Resene Half Alabaster to give a slight contrast. I have opened up the room with steel balustrades on the stairs and restained the timber stairs with Resene Colorwood Teak to soften the orange timber tones.email colourstyling@gmail.com web www.colourstyling.com.auResene LichenMarlin Armchair in Dark GreenNoodwww.nood.co.nz0800 466 663Resene MerlotWyatt Shelving Unit Resene Freedom Half Sea Fog www.freedomfurniture.co.nz0800 469 327Ankara Sofa in Copper VelvetLoft Furniture Dinosaur Designswww.loftfurniture.co.nz Large River Stone Vase03 377 5166 Bed ThreadsResenewww.bedthreads.co.nzCinnamon hello@bedthreads.com.auillustration Malcolm WhiteResene Colorwood TeakIkara Desert Serenade by Pamela HoneyfieldFine Print Cowww.fineprintco.com61 7 5576 888831'
