Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 38

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: A piece of MDF (ours measured 300mm x400mm), Book of sticker shapes, Paintbrushes (including an artist brush), Pencil, Playing cards, Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat, Resene testpots of Resene Get Reddy, Resene Nero and Resene Tree Frog

Top tip: For a shiny finish apply one coat of Resene Multishield+ gloss (now Resene Concrete Clear) to the board before you apply the stickers.

Here's another idea: Make your own game of Hangman using Resene Blackboard Paint and testpots of Resene Bright Red, Resene Space Cadet and Resene Milan.

Make your own Hangman game Another idea: Hangman game

Step 1
Step one
Prime the MDF with one coat of Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat and leave for one hour to dry.
Step 2
Step two
Paint the MDF with two coats of Resene Tree Frog, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 3

Position four of the cards on the MDF, as shown, and draw around them using a pencil.
Step 4
Step four
Paint these four rectangles with two coats of Resene Get Reddy, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 5
Step five
Paint in the word ‘Snap’ along the top of the piece of MDF with two coats of Resene Nero, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 6
Step six
Add further decoration to the board using a selection of sticker shapes.
