You will need: Large piece of heavy artists’ canvas, large stretched artists’ canvas panel, packet of zinc plated panel pins, paintbrushes, Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Quarter Stonehenge, Resene Sandtex Mediterranean effect tinted to Resene Time Out, Resene Multishield+ (now Resene Concrete Clear) flat, Resene Non-Skid Deck and Path tinted to Resene Haast Shale and Resene Shadowland, Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat, Resene Metallic Art Action testpots in the following colours: Resene Blast Grey, Resene Pure Pewter and Resene Time Warp, Resene testpots in the following colours: Resene Black, Resene Blue Night, Resene Indian Ink, Resene Licorice, Resene Madison, Resene Matisse, Resene Oxymoron, Resene Spinnaker, Resene Subzero and Resene Wedgewood, scissors.
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene Zylone 20 tinted to Resene Rich Cream.
Other ideas: Experiment with painting over other heavily textured surfaces such as corrugated cardboard, sandpaper and hessian.
