It’s easy to use a stylish Resene wallpaper to create a fabulous instant art print.
Resene art with Mark Rayner – Project 115
Difficulty level: Moderate
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Curious Blue.
Other ideas: For a subtle white finish simply use Resene Colorwood Whitewash.
Step one
Remove the glass and backing board and then lightly sand the wooden frame.
Step two
Wipe off any sanding residue with a clean cloth.
Step three
Carefully stir the Resene Colorwood Whitewash tinted to Resene Becalm.
Step four
Apply one coat of Resene Colorwood Whitewash tinted to Resene Becalm to the wooden picture frame and allow to dry.
Step five
Carefully stir the Resene Aquaclear Satin.
Step six
Apply one coat of Resene Aquaclear Satin to the wooden picture frame and allow to dry.
Step seven
Apply a second coat of Resene Aquaclear Satin to the wooden picture frame and allow to dry.
Step eight
Use the glass from the picture frame as a guide to cut a section from the Resene Wallpaper with the craft knife. Replace the glass, backing board and piece of wallpaper into the picture frame.
