Charlene has always had a passion for being creative. Her husband had a career change that allowed her to reduce her hours at work and to fill in her time she dabbled in abstract and texture. Positive feedback from friends and family provided a confidence boost and before long Charlene had entered her work in exhibitions and started to enjoy sales. Since then she has donated works to charity auctions and featured her work in cafes. Today her works can be purchased from a selection of Manawatu outlets and her website. Charlene has also broadened her horizons and launched a range of designer place mats and coasters.

Charlene’s work is based on abstract and texture. She loves a painting that has colour and lots of texture, the type that makes you want to reach out and touch it. What she loves about abstract is that every single person will make the painting to be something of their own imagination. Every single person will see something different in her paintings. Knowing that her work has been bought and is hanging in someone’s home is all the inspiration she needs.

All of Charlene’s work is painted with Resene paints then coated with an aqua clear. Charlene will then combine your choices into a custom made artwork that perfectly suits your place.

Charlene started using Resene because her husband used to be a painter who used Resene paints. Now he’s changed occupations but Charlene has stuck with Resene for her work.
