Time for a cuppa

Transform a humble terracotta plant pot into this stylish coffee table, great for an early morning cuppa on a warm summer morning.

Turn a plant pot into a coffee table

As seen in kiwigardener

You will need

  • A low-growing drought-tolerant plant
(we used a jelly bean plant, Sedum rubrotinctum).
  • A pre-cut piece of clear acrylic or safely glass for the tabletop (ours measured 570mm x 570mm)
  • A square or rectangular terracotta plant pot (ours measured 370mm width x 370mm depth x 300mm height)

Tip:  Being drought tolerant, the plant shouldn't require much water but, when necessary, simply lift off the tabletop to give your plant a drink.

To get the look:  Mark painted the background stucco wall with Resene AquaShield tinted to Resene Pipi.
