To get the look:
Step one
Apply one coat of Resene Aquapel & Terracotta Sealer to the inside and outside of each terracotta pot and allow to dry.
Step two
Apply two coats of Resene Blue Night to the outside and inner rim of the largest terracotta pot, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step three
Apply two coats of Resene Hammerhead to the outside and inner rim of the middlesized terracotta pot, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step four
Apply two coats of Resene Neutral Bay to the outside and inner rim of the smallest terracotta pot, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step five
Loosely fill the largest terracotta pot (to the base of the inner rim) with good quality potting mix.
Step six
Place the middle-sized terracotta pot on top of this, as shown, and, in the same way, fill with good quality potting mix.
Step seven
Repeat step six using the smallest of the terracotta pots.

Plant each of the stacked pots with small succulents, as shown.
Step nine
Carefully apply a gravel mulch around the base of the succulents, as shown.
