It’s easy to create an aged antique effect on wood with a little bit of help from Resene.
Ways with wood with Mark Rayner - Project 70
Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: Clean cloth, Paintbrush, Resene Aqua clear satin, Resene paint stirrer, Resene testpot of Resene Colorwood Whitewash, Sandpaper, Wooden lamp base.
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene New York Pink.
Other ideas: Create a rich brown effect by staining the lamp with Resene Mahogany and then sand back to reveal the wood beneath. Again, finish off with Resene Aquaclear.
