Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: 40mm panel pins, reclaimed bare wood (ours measured 20mm x 90mm), a clean cloth, drill with drill bits, hammer, paintbrush, pencil, PVA glue, sandpaper, saw, screwdriver, set square, shelf hangers with screws (x2) and a tape measure. Resene Colorwood Whitewash.
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen Kitchen & Bathroom tinted to Resene First Light.
Other ideas: For a more natural finish, and to enhance the grain, apply three coats of Resene Aquaclear satin over the bare wood.
