This is a key position within a world class company and will appeal to those candidates who are able to bring technical superiority and sound leadership skills to the table.
You will report to the Owner and Managing Director and will be responsible for driving research, product improvement, maintenance and evaluation of products, raw materials, manufacturing and test procedures, quality systems R&D, QA systems and documentation.
Although New Zealand based, the successful person will be primarily responsible for Australasia and also occasional, growing relationships further afield.
You will also be expected to work positively and effectively with other Technical staff, Technical Licensees, Suppliers, Customers and Resene staff.
You will also be expected to maintain the excellent technical relationships which Resene crucially enjoys with its major suppliers and to develop new ones.
Other duties include tasks such as; authorizing payment of relevant bills, staff reviews and authorizing quality system documents etc, all of which are detailed in the job description.
Essential qualities include appropriate tertiary qualifications in chemistry and a proven track record in a Technical Leadership role within a similar business. You will have the ability to fit into the Resene way of doing business and work with a diverse range of personalities.
The Resene culture is open, honest, results focussed, “can do” and unique, with a boss who prefers straight talk over bureaucracy in his company of approximately 700 staff.
