Upside
When redecorating three bedrooms in her home, Diane used a border to tie the look of the rooms together. The same pattern border was used in all three rooms with the colour varied to match the colour painted on the lower half of each room. In each room the top two-thirds were painted with Resene Oasis, with the bottom third of the master bedroom finished in Resene Eastside and the bottom third of the girls' bedroom in Resene Melanie.

The most difficult challenge was adding colour into the rooms without making them too dark. This was easily achieved through the two-tone effect.

The slowest part of the job was selecting the colours, a task which took several weeks. The rooms took one weekend apiece to paint. From first thoughts to project end the three rooms were completed within three months.

Diane was keen to ensure a warm colour flow through their smallish home, and achieved this using Resene Salomie through the main living areas and Resene Cape Honey in the hallway, linking the living areas to the bedrooms for a bright and connected finish.
