Bach blitz

Having served the family well for 22 years, the Mountfort family Whangapoua beach retreat was in bad need of major alteration and redecoration and retirement enabled them at last to address this. They chose wallpaper and paint from Resene for their total 250 square metre interior as they found the easy sample lending system, able staff and extensive selection of both wallpaper and paint colours very helpful and a ‘one stop’ facility.

Resene Perfect Taupe was selected for the kitchen, family bathroom, guest toilet, one bedroom and connecting hallways and staircase. Being a warm neutral tone it gave them the freedom to introduce some strong highlight colours in their ornaments, linen, curtain fabrics and other accessories.

The master bedroom gets the morning sun and Resene Comfort Zone helps them to feel refreshed and cool in that environment. It is a beautiful blue to work with.

Their bedrooms at the beach are most definitely places of relaxation and the soft tone of Resene Pewter enables just that. There was an abundant selection of suitable bed linen available that allowed them to accent varying tones to different effect in the master and one guest bedroom.

The main living area was face lifted in Resene White and they have been able to repeat colours in their furnishings throughout to tie the rooms together for a seamless transition.
