The Gradon family have recently completed renovating the bathroom
in their tired, early eighties cottage and are thrilled to have
been able to inject some character into a basic rectangular three
bedroom house.
Having spent four years living in the UK they developed a love
of things 'English Country' and since they now really do live
in the country they have taken inspiration from their time in
England and some of the old homes they worked and lived in.
Prior to the renovation the bathroom was very small and very
yellow and blue with an outdated seaside theme. They have now
enlarged the space, included the toilet, moved the bath and shower
and finally, with the help of some wood panelling, white tiles,
Resene Ceiling Pant and Resene Sandspit Brown, have given the
room a completely new and luxurious look. It is still not a huge
room but it suits them beautifully and they enjoy the immense
satisfaction of having done it themselves. The bathroom is now
a relaxing haven for a candlelit soak in the bath with a glass
of wine.

And as for the chandelier over the toilet - a little crazy maybe
but life is short and they like to live a little on the edge!
Thanks to Justine and Terry Gradon of Tauranga.
