From the Resene News – issue 1/2002 Hot wheels - Performance Tyres Centre A quick drying acrylic paint system of two coats of Resene Lumbersider satin acrylic tinted to Resene Bright Red (clean red) and Resene Golden Yellow (warm yellow) were the perfect cure to the prevailing weather conditions. The Performance Tyres owner was very impressed with the coverage of the Resene Lumbersider paint system noting "it normally takes 4 or 5 coats to make the colours look good". Cold
wet conditions are the enemy of the average paint system, causing a
variety of problems from difficult application through to substandard
cures. With time at a premium and weather conditions expected to be
adverse, the exterior repaint of the Performance Tyres Centre in Lillydale,
Melbourne was challenging.
